Mogul absorbents are designed in various form, size, weight and shapes to absorb all types of fluids.  In addition to oil absorbents which repel water (hydrophilic) and absorb hydrocarbons Mogul also produces water or chemicals absorbents.

Mogul absorbents are ideal for any size of oil spill or industrial application and available in perforated rolls, to provide the right amount of material for the job, or converted into different sized pads or pillows.  Mogul meltblown absorbents can absorb up to 15 times its own weight and the standard fabric is either ‘oil-only’ or ‘universal’ (multipurpose) under the HI-SORB brand. If more strength and durability is desired, then HI_SORB is sonic bonded as ‘HI-SORB+’.

When incinerated Mogul sorbents leave less than 0.02% ash.

Mogul ‘Ultrasorb’ products are absorbent materials converted into shapes and identified as ‘BM’ for boom, ‘SC’ for sock and ‘PS’ for pillow.  These are designed to contain and clean-up spills and dumps on land or water.

Mogul ‘Ultrabond’ is a composite fabric comprising three layers; a thick absorbent sandwiched between a top and bottom layers.  The composite is ultrasonically welded and has a smooth and lint free surface.  The dimpled surface provides quick wicking and will not stick to concrete surfaces.

Mogul absorbents are color coded bright yellow as universal absorbents of aggressive fluids such as soluble chemicals, acids, alkalis, solvents, toxic liquids, etc. in order to distinguish and readily identify it is used to absorb dangerous fluids.  Oil-only absorption is designated by white while ‘water-only’ absorption is designated by grey.

Antistatic absorbents are used when flammable liquid or vapor may be present.  Mogul treats the polypropylene meltblown with a topical solution to dissipate any potential static build up.

Camouflage design printed heavy duty sorbents are available under the ‘Ultra-Cam’ brand for use in military or in industrial applications as walking area mats
