Spunbond Nonwoven Fabrics
Mogul is a trusted manufacturer of high quality spunbond nonwoven fabrics with a complete range of polyester (PET) and polypropylene (PP) spunbond materials. We are one of the few companies in the world that are capable of producing fine fibre PET spunbond in flat-bond form and we have the ability to produce both round and tri-lobal filament shapes.
What is Spunbond Technology?
The spunbond process creates nonwoven fabrics by melting PP or PET thermoplastics which are extruded through spinnerets to create continuous filaments that are then drawn. The filaments receive uniform placement to create a web structure before thermal bonding creates a strong yet lightweight and breathable fabric structure.
This technology provides excellent fibre distribution, high tensile strength and structural stability, and as such, spunbond fabrics can be used in a wide range of technical and consumer applications.
Functional Benefits
The spunbond nonwoven fabrics produced by Mogul deliver numerous functional benefits to users.
-
High abrasion resistance and dimensional stability
-
Soft, smooth, and non-linting surface
-
Excellent air and moisture permeability
-
Available with hydrophobic or hydrophilic properties
-
Customizable for UV resistance and flame retardancy
-
Suitable for both short-term disposables and long-term technical uses
PET spunbond options with tri-lobal filament cross-sections deliver improved surface area and texture that serves demanding applications such as filtration and acoustic insulation.
Applications Across Multiple Sectors
Mogul’s spunbond fabrics find multiple uses in various industries because of their strength, lightness and versatility.
Medical and Hygiene
The production of masks, gowns, head covers, disposable bed sheets, and sterilization wraps utilize this material because it provides essential barrier performance and hygiene protection.
Agriculture
The product range includes crop protection covers and greenhouse shading materials as well as insect barriers and seed blankets that provide breathable pest and weather protection.
Furniture and Home Textiles
Inner linings for sofas and mattresses, acoustic layers, and backings for curtains or upholstery to add structure and performance.
Construction and Insulation
Roofing underlays, vapor barriers, housewraps, and thermal/acoustic insulation layers benefit from the fabric’s strength and breathability.
Automotive
Used in car seats, trunk liners, headliners, and insulation components for their moldability, light weight, and sound-dampening abilities.
Promotional and Packaging
Eco-friendly bags, protective covers, and promotional goods use spunbond for its printability, strength, and visual appeal.
Apparel and Protective Wear
The material functions as a base layer for workwear and uniforms and industrial suits because it provides comfort together with strength and has the optional feature of flame retardance.
